Aidy: I speak to Elton on a weekly basis
Aidy Boothroyd has revealed he receives a phone call from Sir Elton John every week.
"I speak to him every week," said the manager. "Wherever he is he gets on the phone because he is a massive fan and wants to know what is going on, who am I picking and have I seen this player and that player. He is the world's most famous chief scout."

Is there any way possible that I could get an autographed picture of Sir Elton John, his music now days is rich with passion and loyality. I play some of his music and can feel the love in it, he is truely amazing and a great entertainer. Can you convey this message to him? Thank you.

Glad to hear Elton is kept up to date by our manager.
Hopefully Aidy will have fitted in a couple of more calls to premiership managers ensuring we get a boost for the last few games.
All i have read is than Sir Alex has told Ben he is staying put and AJ isnt going anywhere.
Well done to WBA for pulling Clement from Hull..might weaken them for saturday.

Isn't it funny how old reg always seems to come out of the woodwork when there is a small scent of glory.
Now if he could persuade old Becks to come in on loan for the last few games then that would be a massive boost...you never know, stranger things have happened...Elton actually attended a match this season.

maybe Aidy should ring him he likes to chat on phone.
I wonder whether he chats to Elton about music and has a career change in mind...or whether he reports to our life president on footballing matters.
Not sure i would be happy as a plc to have a manager reporting to an ex-owner but then we dont always seem to follow convention.
