Borehamwood BC Ladies (Leslie Martin, Doris Edwards, Madge Barker and Joan Tester) won an exciting league match against Abbots Langley, 18-17.
In a men's friendly on 4 rinks at home to Rowley Lane, Borehamwood went down 84-66. Their only winning rink was John Tester, Mick Glover, Dave Middleditch and Don Putman who romped home 28-16.
In the Watford & District League, against the usually formidable Bushey, Borehamwood's men played out of their skins to win on all 3 rinks, 74-54.
Teams were Harry Massey, Norman Harrison, Don Putman and Roy Edwards (22-21); Alan Rose, Colin Williams, Dave Mooring and Arthur Moseley (25-18) and John Roe, Neville Simons, Peter Job and Dave Winter (27-15).
The ladies rink of Chris Martin, Peggy Pollintine, Tina Job and Joan Tester won 20-18.
