Vote to put hopefuls on stage

LOCAL band Tranquil Fury may have the opportunity to perform at a music festival this summer.

The Sunrise Celebration festival is being held in Somerset on May 29 until June 1 and the Harpenden lads may have a chance to play there.

Festival organisers are holding a competition for unsigned bands to play on stage in Somerset.

Fans can vote for their favourites by going to the band's website and following the links to the voting pages.

The 12 bands with the most votes will compete before a panel of expert judges who decide which will perform on the main stage at the festival.

The five from Harpenden teamed up in 2006 and their inspirations include Metallica, Neil Diamond and Machine Head.

Voting closes on Wednesday, May 14. To vote for Tranquil Fury's music visit: www.myspace.com/tranquilfury
