Spurs under no pressure to sell

TOTTENHAM are believed to have told Robbie Keane that he will not be leaving for Liverpool.

The club's sporting director Damien Commolli has told the Irishman that he will not allow the striker to leave - unless the deal is too good to refuse.

Having already sold Jermain Defoe and with Darren Bent looking likely to leave for Sunderland, the Spurs board fear they could left red-faced if Keane departs, leaving Ramos facing the task of rebuilding the entire forward line. It would leave just Dimitar Berbatov, and his future at the club remains in the balance.

Spurs are believed to have demanded £10m plus either Dirk Kuyt or Xabi Alonso in a bid to scare Liverpool off.

In May Keane pledged his future to Spurs saying he was happy at the club and was looking forward to spending a summer without being linked with a move away. Spurs fans will be hoping he stays true to his word.

Should the club let Keane go? Who would replace him? Would you be happy to see Defoe, Bent and Keane sold within six months? Tell us below.

I'd be gutted to see robbie leave, He has stood out as our best and hardest working player for some years! I would like to think he'll stick true to his word and not be like all the other money grabbing muppets!!!!!(SOL CAMPBELL)

Keane is Spurs through & through theres no way he will go to Liverpool and the pictures of him in training today confirm that. Juande is happy with how the squad is developing and bar the obvious driftwood being got rid of do not expect any big names bar poss Berbatov to be going anywhere. I think you'll find Robbo will stay until at least Jan as well.

well...all the transfer talk is paper talk confusing so .......to
manipulate with media etc.its interesting that spurs are patronised still......as if the top four have a sole right to success which is absurd
spurs will be a force to reckon with as the main objective will be to get into the champions league for the the financial return.in milliions...in the near future .....with a rebuilt strong squad as key for an entire season of course .
so any loss of players will be replaced with a good decision process which is now in place......so cmon spurs turn it on!!

My previous post was omited so in case you wonder what I said,... Tottenham should push out all the stops to sign Diego Capel as this guy is a pure gem on the left wing and he could help tottenham have the highest scoring strike partnership for over a decade. I hope messers Keane and Berbatov realise what a great season they could have with a midfield like Capel, Huddlestone, Modric and hopefully Bently supplying them with the pin perfect cross whilst scoring goals aplenty themselves. The back line should be able to pick itself already with Hutton, Woodgate, king/Dawson and Bale on the left.
