New Mayor takes the reins

THE prestigious mantle of Mayor of St Albans District Council has been handed over to Tory Councillor Bert Pawle.
The Harpenden North Ward representative received the chain and robes of office from last year's Mayor Kate Morris at a ceremony held at the Civic offices last night.
