Members of the West Herts branch of the Parkinson's Disease Society (PDS) joined around 1,500 people to celebrate the organisation's annual Christmas concert at Westminster Cathedral last week.
Around 1,500 people gathered for the service, which included readings and carol singing.
Among the congregation last Wednesday were 40 members of the West Herts branch, which serves people living in Hertsmere.
A spokesman for the society said: "It was the highest number ever to attend the concert. There were so many more people than anticipated that the organisers ran out of programmes."
Among the readers were actors Richard Briars, Michael Palin and Phyllida Law, and the readings were taken from Lady Selecting her Christmas Cards, by Phyllis McGinley, Pickwick Papers, by Charles Dickens, and The Boy Who Laughed at Christmas, by Ogden Nash.
The concert came to a close with everyone singing the First Nowell.
