Battersea Power Station was the scene of a sneak preview of the latest Batman movie last night, but unfortunately it looked to most like a terrorist attack.
The emergency services were flooded with calls from residents frightened the massive explosion and 200ft fireball was a late night terrorist attack.
They were reassured the dramatic scene was only a stunt for Batman: The Dark Knight.
The explosion is believed to the opening scene of the movie starring Christian Bale as Batman and Michael Caine as his butler, Alfred.
But the unexpected slice of Hollywood left some residents unimpressed, with at least one complaining a warning would have been appreciated.
Last night's explosion was not the first time the movie has attracted attention.
Special effects expert Conway John Wickliffe, 41, died near Chertsey last month during the filming of another stunt for the movie.
Dad-of-two Mr Wickliffe, from New Zealand, died in a car accident during filming at the former Ministry of Defence site at Longcross when the four-wheel drive he was riding in hit a tree at a Qinetiq racetrack.
Mr Wickliffe was a passenger in the twincab of a Nissan Navara pick-up truck, filming an unmanned special effects car.
Police and the Health and Safety Executive are investigating the accident.
Batman: The Dark Knight, is due to be released in the UK next July.

Look at all the riverside Marys. "Is my penthouse next?" brigade.
I think even terrorists would have sussed out that Battersea Power Station is empty, and not worth the bother.
Truth is, most production companies issue advance warning. I know, I've worked with them. Seems that most ignore the leaflets as junk, and consequently...
