Good diagnosis for hospitals
Epsom and St Helier hospitals have been praised for the standard of their diagnostic services by the Healthcare Commission.
The watchdog gave Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, the body responsible for the hospitals, a good rating for services including X-rays and scans, endoscopy and pathology.
In total 153 hospital trusts were rated excellent, good, fair or weak.
Six trusts were rated excellent, 61 were rated good, 61 were labelled fair and 15 were described as weak.
The review assessed patient experiences and clinical quality, as well as the efficiency and management of services.
