TWO men were killed and four others seriously injured in three separate shootings at the weekend.

Detectives from Operation Trident, which probes gun crime in London's black communities, have launched a murder inquiry after David Kerr was killed outside a block of flats in Willesden, north-west London.

Police were called to reports of shots fired shortly before 8am on Saturday morning.

The 22-year-old, of Sherwood Road, Harrow, was pronounced dead at the scene.

DCI Scott Wilson, leading the investigation, appealed for anyone who knows Mr Kerr or saw him in the vicinity of Alfred Nunn House, Chadwick Road, to come forward. He said: "We need to establish where David was prior to his murder and why he was in the area early on Saturday morning.

"David is a light skinned black man and approximately 5ft9 to 5ft10 tall."

Eastern European murdered

A murder investigation has also opened into the death of 22-year-old Macedonian Prel Marku in Park Royal Road, Ealing.

Two other men suffered gunshot wounds in the shooting at an office used by the Eastern European community as a social venue.

A fourth man is thought to have injured himself falling through the roof of the building.

DCI Pete Lansdown, leading the investigation, said there were a number of Albanian and Kosovan males in the premises at the time.

Nightclub shooting

In a third incident a man was left fighting for his life after being shot outside a south London nightclub.

Police believe the 26-year-old was shot accidentally while another clubber, who was shot in the buttock, fled from the gunman in the early hours of Sunday morning.

A 28-year-old man had left the Ivory Arch nightclub in Walworth Road, opposite the Elephant and Castle shopping centre, when he was approached by another man or group of men, Scotland Yard said.

A fight broke out and the 28-year-old was shot in the backside before running under a railway bridge towards Elephant and Castle.

The gunman continued firing shots after him but hit the second man in the head outside the Ministry of Salsa club.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance where he is in a critical condition. The first victim was also treated in hospital and is described as "stable".

Anyone with information about either of the incidents should call Trident on 020 8785 8172 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
