Bowlers off to the perfect start

Wood secured a sound win on five mixed rinks by 16 shots, 108-92.

Borehamwood's two winning rinks consisted of Alan Rose, Joan Wrigley, Danny Agras and Roy Edwards (31-14) and Lesley Martin, Mick Glover, Dave Middleditch and Don Putman (28-10).

In their first Watford & District League match the following day, Borehamwood's men travelled to Watford, where, after a very competitive encounter, they lost 59-50.
