Welly clinch the treble
Wellington Arms Reserves FC completed a Watford Sunday League treble after clinching the Division Three title last night.
With the Reserve and Junior Cup already in the bag, the Welly made it a clean sweep by adding the league title to their trophy cabinet with a 3-2 win over Woodside Reserves in their final game.
Welly fell a goal behind but won the match thanks to goals from Adam Durrant (2) and Jamie Smith. Durrant's brace took his tally to 38 for the season.
"What a season," said manager Steve Baldwin. "To win the league and cup treble is a tremendous achievement. I have a squad of 16 lads and everyone of them played their part in this success. Next season is going to be a different kettle of fish, but I can see no reason why we cant be challenging for silverware next season, too."

Well done to the manager too. Just watch this space - I've no doubt there'll be a few clamouring for him to take over from Aidy Boothroyd.

Scotshorn - why the hell would the manager want to leave the Welly for the Watford job?!

The only reason I would leave the welly is if could take the squad with me...at least we try and play football

This manager obviously possesses good motivational skills, maybe Aidy could learn a thing or two.
