Aidy Boothroyd says his side have nothing to lose when they play their play-off second leg at Hull tomorrow night.

The Hornets have been written off by everyone after a 2-0 defeat at Vicarage Road on Sunday. But the manager has been boosted by the news skipper John Eustace has had his suspension overturned and he will line up in the team. The ever optimistic manager is certainly not about to give up on his side's promotion hopes now.

Boothroyd said: "At 2-0 it is one of those scores where you always have a chance. If we go up there and give it a go, then you never know.

"The sport is full of comebacks. We have done it ourselves when we came back from 2-0 down at Colchester. We have nothing to lose, the onus is on Hull.

"I know how they will be feeling, but we are still in there and and I'm quite enjoying this in a strange sort of a way."

Please win it Aidy. Hull is the worse place on the planet, full of heroin addicts and spotty teenage mums on the nick. And I got a speeding ticket last time I was there. And the sharks at The Deep looked half dead when I took the kids there. Their manager is trying to wind us up over the headbut claim. Ignore them, keep our cool and outplay the lumbering old fools. And if they win (which they won't) rebuild for next season and while we cheer for Bristol City in the final.

Aidy just give Priskin the nod ahead of Ainsworth,play football and beat Brown and Hull.

Either way next season we can look forward with hope and without too many changes to the starting eleven and still cut back if necessary from the overall squad.

But at least we have a side playing the right way and a manager who has seen the light...well done Aidy, but if you start with Darius and revert to the persistent long ball stay in Hull.

VOR the negativity is yours or wasnt it your contribution under the Eustace red card being rescinded.

The team were at least equal to Hull and we got turned over by the inadequate ref.

Give those who played the chance to finish the job off. Last time Darius played and ruffled feathers was Blackpool.

After his red card we played more football, not his fault, but also scored.

The boys have an uphill battle but the way they played on saturday they have a chance and if they keep shooting they will at some point have a bit of luck. I just dont want us to slip back to the hoofing to Darius.

Ellington and Priskin should start

We do not stand a chance tomorrow. Hull have done things the right way this season- talented youngsters on loans and experienced ex premiership players who were the difference on sunday. But hey the wfc snobs wouldn't like us to adopt such an approach...they would rather see us waste time and money on "hungry young players2 like collins **** john.

Anyway Boothroyd is nowhere near the top managers in the championship...he has proved himself to be an embarrassing clueless idiot...im ashamed that such a useless incompetent idiot is the manager of our club. And the same could be said of his equally useless subservient coaching staff.

Sorry folks but we have been a joke for six months...Hull will run riot tomorrow, just you wait and see.

This is one of the poorest watford teams for a long time and if we are to avoid relegation next season then boofers and his useless coaches need to go now!

What Aidy is saying for anyone to simple to understand is that we are expected to lose and that puts the pressure on the oposition rather than us, like I said before if Watford get a goal the way the game is played will change again. I still think it may be a little too much but I like to live in hope and will support the team while they are on the pitch, the time for bickering should end and we should all unite in the one thing we all care about WFC ... So people like prof bum grapes and Colon MCzippy should just wind their necks in for 2 days and support the team ... I have been reading the same boring comments from them for months and all I can say is life is much better being positive then being so predictable ... Its not been great this year but it aint over yet because the fat tranny is not singing yet (and dont start either colon Mczippy)

I dont do preDICKtions because I will end up looking a tool like colon Mczippy ... I only ask for unity ozzy !.. Most real fans want to see a great performance and a win tommorow, it will only be Anti Boothroyd fans who want us to lose... And before I get the boring happy clapper clap trap, I am anything but pleased with the style of play and recent results, but I am also adult enough to know every team has its ups and downs, bad signings and most of all Sh*t supporters ......

The presure is off for tomorrow night. The skipper is back, but what about Shittu. A 2 goal lead is never easy to defend and if they start with a defensive mindset they will find it hard to shift out of it if we score, but if they start with an attacking mindset they will leave themselves open. A goal for us in the first 10 minutes and we will win the tie. I just hope it does not go to penalties as we don't have one penalty taker, let alone 5!

I have been a season ticket holder for about 10 years, I dont actually live in the big apple just like you dont live in the real world colon McZippy !!!!
you couldnt predict a sunny day if the sky was blue !!!! you seem to forget that most people who read these posts know that you get 9 out of 10 wrong anyway ....

No army ever won a battle without everybody pulling in the same direction, no team ever won promotion without the fans one hundred percent behind their team, when we start being positive and catching players doing things right instead of highlighting thier faults then we will get promotion...I reckon now is as good a time to start as any, come on you nighty horns the battle is thier to be won, remember Tranmere and John Aldridge, well now its Hull City and Phil brown who are about to get it..come on!!!!!!!!

Win or lose Vee, guaranteed i'll leave a northerner with a souvenir. Hope they try that pitch invasion nonsense, might be a giggle. Did you se their embarrassing 'Mauled by the Tigers' chant sunday? Most embarrassing moment in a football ground since the Tractor Boys danced in front of the Vic Rd Stand to the tune of their disallowed goal!! A 1st half goal and its ours Vee, the nothing to lose theory is gathering pace and i think i actually fancy it now, either way, the northerners in their TK Maxx shorts are going to get a taste of the real TIGER!

Hull probably came away thinking they've all but got it sealed, so... IF we score first then it's game on.

Save the recriminations, post-mortems, inquests etc. for when the season has concluded.

It seems to me we have an uphill battle on our hands but over the years it has been done so we must wait and see.

On a more serious note congratulations to BC on making it to the final.

If we arent there Mr friend must take some blame but i wonder what the Football League authorities will do?

First he disallowed a good goal. He must have seen something that the cameras didnt to make that decision .or was it a mistake or even a deliberate mistake.

Secondly the sending off...JE both feet on the ground trying to pull out, Ashbee shoving JE over and then telling ref by demonstrating that an elbow was used. We lost a man when we were right back in it for 30 mins. Why has no action been taken against Ashbee for his deliberate and dangerous shove in the back that riled JE, and why are they able to lie about elbow use and walk away when it is proved to be incorrect.

Why did Windass get away without a card for a deliberate and dangerous challenge on Lee...watch where windass is looking as he goes in.

And a final why..Phil Browns comments that the ref got both major decisions right when he patently did not. Was it to rile the WFC team, management or fans. If it was the fans is Brown any different from a player..if not is he bringing game into disrepute?

Time the authorities got hard on the cheats including refs and not just the players. None of this may have changed the final outcome but that goal was fair and would have given us the flying start we needed.

Hopefully we can remedy matters at Hull but surely when diabolical decisions are made and there is a possible £50m + at stake the authorities need to be seen to be investigating matters.

How do the rest of you feel and should we bombard the Football League for an investigation...Ther
e is enough TV footage for them to look at.

I agree chris, The least brown and ashbee should do is come out and say sorry .. To say JE headbutted him is a disgrace, and after looking at some comments on the forum on skys website from Hull fans I just cant believe how desperate they must be. Every pundit said it was a goal and not a sending off, every individual I have spoken to who is not a WFC fan says the same, so how can some small minded fans agree with such stupid comments ???
I believe I am an honest supporter and If my team or a player in the team makes a bad challenge or does something wrong then I will stand up and say that is the case.
Hull fans must be so desperate to go up that they have got their heads so far up Phil Browns Ar*e they cant see a bad decision through the s**t and wind !!!!! When your that desperate then nerves set in, we will out sing them in the terraces and then hopefully out play them on the pitch, I will be in heaven if I get to see Phil Brown Stuttering and making excuses through an interview if they have lost after having a 2 - 0 away leg lead, pure heaven .....

I love the way that Watford fans are clinging on to the north south divide theory/money and TK Maxx banter and Hull are 2-0 up. No one mentions that we scored TWO goals so the one that was disallowed (QPR had one allowed against us at home that should not have been)would still not be enough to have won the game although it may have been more tense tonight. I honestly thought that Watford did well attacking wise but we were defending deep which is typical of an away game of this size especially after going two up. As for the north/south banter; I think you just need to look at the way investors are moving up north and abandoning the over-priced and egotisical southern clubs. Even your best striker for years opted to move up here!

Do not start with Doris. We played very well on Sunday and created a host of chances withjout him: we did the same for 30 mins at Blackpool. Please, please the same starting X1 or TP at the expense of Ainsworth. Or, as a contributor said yesterday, you can stay in Hull. PS who's the ref tonight and does he know that we are owed?

I am very fired up for this tie. BUT let's not go too far down the hard done by path. We have henderson who spends his life duffing people up and worst of all if you want to talk about bad sportsmanship then look no further than our ballboys who only clean the ball for wfc throws! Aidy is the biggest thug of them all. Look back 2 years against Palace and some of the aggressive stuff he comes out with. He has recently talked about deliberatly winding up opposition players that are vunerable as a normal and valid tactic.
I am praying that Aidy has learnt, and he is storing all that aggression and passing it on in the changing room before the game. I really think it is going to be one of those classic nights.

This is on soccernet.com, talking about difference in earnings between this season and last.

Everyone is saying its worth 50 million to go up these figures suggest its worth half that.

Does anyone know which is correct or why they are different.

"United's income rose 25% compared to last season, while Derby earned £28.2million, a 56.5% increase on the £18million earned by Watford a year ago."

Where does this figure come from. I read on Soccernet that Man u will get 75 million from wining premier league, so how would we get 60 million?

you are so funny! The only reason we'll need to paddle home is due to the amount of fake tan there is in the Hull technical area (that is of course if that prat of a manager ever stays in it of course). Hull's 100 best goals? Is that all 100 goals ever scored and are there many in the top division? Didn't think so. And why are you looking at DVDs? Do you have electricity oop there yet?
If we manage to claw our way back into this ref dominated tie I will laugh so much as I watch orange boy squirm on the TV. Can't see us doing it realistically but if we get an early goal you lot will be panicking so much you'll drop your dole cheques. Eey up and all that and come on you 'orns - we have nothing to lose. They can only **** it up now. Off to stick a fiver on the 'orns to go through (we have paper money down here Hull Boy) and if I win maybe I'll buy myself a house in Hull. A DVD of Hull's 100 Best Goals? Blimey - must be 10 goals each then repeated 9 times from different camera angles....

Obvously missed the DVDs of Watford's First Divison seasons 1982-1989, Premiership 1999/2000 & 2006/07 , the various FA Cup Final 1984 & several other semi finals, UEFA Cup run in 1984, etc.

Still good luck to them against Bristol City at Wembley; think they'll need even more luck to beat Derby's record should they manage to reach the Prem.
