Borehamwood BC's Margaret Moseley outplayed Dianne Charman from Bushey BC to triumph 21-6 in the first round of the Watford & District Singles.
In another exciting match, which swung backwards and forwards throughout, Eve Middleditch and Betty Massey pipped their opponents by one shot on the extra end in the Watford & District Pairs.
However, Borehamwood succumbed to Berkhamsted in a mixed triples friendly on four rinks and lost a league match at home to Herts.
