It may have been another disappointing result for Watford but Tommy Smith underlined his consistency this season by being named your top performer in the 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace at Vicarage Road.
The Hornets wide man polled 7.1 out of ten in our online match ratings to emerge ahead of Lloyd Doyley (6.1) and Jobi McAnuff (6.1), who were the only other players to score more than six.

How on earth can people think Doyley had a good game? Moses made a complete mug of him for the second goal.

Smithy deserves POTS though.
He was not great on Saturday but then no-one was again.

Anybody notice AB's "friend" Tony Mowbray's remarks in the paper today. Talking about promotion he says it's good for football if a team play in the style we try to promote. You will not win matches just from scoring from corners and free kicks. Wonder who he was thinking of?

While all of us who post our views clearly have differing thoughts, but we all care passionately about the club. It is a special place, and most of us have been around longer than the manager, Directors, and Chairman, it is our club in our community. The frustration comes from being so close to promotion and then losing out because of stupid self-inflicted errors. AB does have the potential to be a great manager, but he has probably run his course here, time to move on. All great mangers are arrogant, the older ones have learnt through experience, and all have bought absolutely crap players. AB's problem is that he has lost creditability with everyone.
Let's clear out the dross who are content to pick up an over inflated wage, for little effort and no passion, and pick players who want to play and win.

Doyley has been good recently but people see what they want to see,I thought Tommy msade one good run in a hard working but very poor first half and a slightly better second.
I thought Danny was terrible but Bromby is back to form.
I have no axe to grind and would love to see ALL of themm play well, not hopeful though.
