A recycling centre is set to close later this month as part of a multi-million-pound upgrade.
Residents will not be able to use Waterdale Recycling Centre from next Monday (May 20) to the Friday (May 24) due to “essential access works” as part of the new waste shredding development.
It will be open as normal from May 25.

Once the project is complete, the shredding building will be used to deal with bulkier waste and will enable more rubbish to be incinerated at ‘energy recovery facilities’ rather than landfill.
It will be able to process bulky waste collected from at least five Hertfordshire districts.
The new building will be at Brookdell Yard, next to the main recycling centre site, on the A405 between Garston and Bricket Wood.
Announcing the closure, Hertfordshire County Council encouraged residents to find alternative recycling centres if they have waste that needs disposing next week.
These include Elstree Recycling Centre in Allum Lane, Rickmansworth Recycling Centre in Riverside Drive, and St Albans Recycling Centre in Ronsons Way.
